Review of A Zed & Two Noughts (1985)

Moving picture, 115 minutes

Peter Greenaway (writer-director).

Seen in 2015.

Brainy, barely narrative art film. The biological theme is interesting, though dressed up in deliberately implausible art-psychological interpretations. It’s done well enough considering its juxtaposition with such subjects as Vermeer and Van Meegeren, normally rather distant from the final scene’s environmentalism.
