Review of Amélie (2001)
Life Is Beautiful (1997) without the Holocaust.
The quirkiness itself is slightly less successful here than in many of Jeunet et Caro’s other films. Too self-conscious, but successful as a feature-length version of “Things I Like, Things I Don’t Like” (1989).
