Review of Bio-Zombie (1998)

Moving picture, 94 minutes

Modern Hong Kong. Iraqi black marketeers sell a zombifying agent disguised as a soft drink. Two arrogant loser buddies who run a VCD business are just drifting along before they hit a guy on the road. The man is badly injured and keeps saying something about a soft drink, so they give him one. Pretty soon, they’re trapped inside their own mall with a whole bunch of blistered freaks. Time to save some hot chicks, video-game style, if they can work up any courage for it.

Horror comedy. Great opening. Pacing problems, general incoherence and little invention. Bad effects and make-up too.
