Review of “Bloeistraat 11” (2018)

Two girls, best friends, start to come of age.
Interesting technique; is that acrylic paint on thin acrylic plastic sheets to extend 2D animation into a 3D cardboard set? It gives the characters a nice glow. The addition of overlaid physical interiors, with flesh and bone knitting, enhances the ability to tell this story about emotional intimacy, but it’s a thin story.
