Review of Cloverfield (2008)
Dull love story, dull monster, unrealistic military response, poorly handled POV framing much like On the Silver Globe (1988). Nothing here makes a lot of sense, but it does have the “sensuous elaboration” of “The Imagination of Disaster” (1965).
