Review of Night Moves (2013)

Moving picture, 112 minutes

Seen in 2019.

Realistic deep-green sabotage with a quarter tonne of ammonium nitrate.

A good grey-scale drama, not a thriller. The environmental activist clique is portrayed with surprising realism but the director doesn’t manage to come to a point about it. Instead, the denouement escalates to violence, almost to the point of making this an adaptation of Crime and Punishment (1866).
