Review of Nomad: The Warrior (2005)
Fascinating country, but the film combines cultural imperialism (not primarily by Kazakhs; a US company funded and controlled much of the project) with a naïve victor’s history of 18th-century ethnic warfare that looks positively medieval. Stupidity and strings.
