Review of Phantom Thread (2017)

Moving picture, 130 minutes

Seen in 2019.

A countryside waitress gets a weird job at a London fashion house and struggles for power.

A solidly crafted, unpretentious bourgeois period piece about the upper classes, with real surprises. Good acting, excellent physicality in grooming, sewing and cooking.
