Review of “Ravishing of Frank N. Stein” (1982)

Moving picture, 10 minutes

Georges Schwizgebel (director).

Seen in 2017.

Unrestored print at GIFF 2017.

One of Schwizgebel’s longest films, and certainly his most repetitive, with synthesizer music à la Philip Glass to match. One of the slight variations throughout is the reduction of the geometry to the original pencil draft. I have no idea what Bride of Frankenstein (1935) has to do with it, or what the actual subject is, if anything.
