Review of That Sugar Film (2014)

Moving picture, 90 minutes

Seen in 2016.

Like Super Size Me (2004), but about fructose.

An agnotological film about agnotology. See Daniel Engber’s 2015-08-10 article in Slate for problems with the subject and the conclusion. The film is almost worth seeing simply as an example of how the flashy, entertaining style—such as giving “experts” awkward hip nicknames instead of examining their credentials—conflicts with the clarity of the message.
