Review of The Dark Tower (2017)

Moving picture, 95 minutes

Seen in 2019.

Fantasy. It’s Narnia (2005) or The Neverending Story (1984) with a random assortment of post-apocalypse, SF and Western motifs in place of Jesus lions, but it still has talking animals, just not on screen. The supernatural earthquakes, the wishful thinking about mental illness and the The Matrix-style showdown are dull, but all the terrible ideas aside, the execution is OK. For example, Matthew McConaughey.
