Review of “The Field of Vision” (2011)

Moving picture, 26 minutes

Seen in 2023.

A low-fidelity, low-budget adaptation of a short story by Ursula K. Le Guin. The main actor is not bad and there’s one interesting shot of a fan, but with such low production values, this short relies on the writing, and specifically the mystery. The final revelation in that mystery is too weak to carry the whole.
