Reviews of The Mummy (1932) and related work

The Mummy (1932Moving picture, 73 minutes)

Apparently the famous trio of early talkie Hollywood monster movies, where this one stands alongside Dracula (1931) and Frankenstein (1931), is uniformly overrated as films. They brought some ideas from supernatural horror in literature to a new generation in the less respected medium, making those particular ideas disproportionately important for a generation.
