A repeat of the 365 CE Crete earthquake overturns a passenger ship on its last voyage to Athens.
One of the first “disaster movies”. Lots of inexplicable explosions, bizarre engineering and American-style blustering struggle for a god’s mercy. I didn’t consciously realize that it was Leslie Nielsen playing the captain until he took his cap off, but I thought there was something great about the man.
