It’s a series of “narrative non-fiction” essays, as much about history as about the present or the future, not at all a handbook for writing post-apocalyptic fiction or choosing building materials for sustainability etc., but it’s a good read. The scenes of mountaintop removal in West Virginia have stayed with me.
