Review of Touch of Evil (1958)
Noir by Welles, with some virtuoso camera work for its time, especially a famous mobile long take. Bad acting, and a story that never takes off. Nowadays it’s feasible to shoot entire features with a more mobile camera and without a cut, e.g. Russian Ark (2002).
