Review of After Hitler (2016)

Moving picture, 91 minutes

Seen in 2019.

Seen as a two-part miniseries with English-language narration on SVT.

Advertised by SVT as describing recovery/reconstruction following WW2, but this is not true. The main subject is the start of the Cold War.

It’s almost constantly focused on the negative. The makers did not even bother to find enough relevant footage to justify their decision to use only contemporary footage. A few expert talking heads would have been helpful to keep sensationalism in check.
