Review of Ancient Invisible Cities (2018)

Moving picture, 154 minutes

Seen in 2019.

This review refers to the 2018 episodes hosted by Michael Scott. Depending on where you look, this is the second half of the first season, or the entire second season, or an alternative version of the show itself, since the “other” three episodes are all about the same three cities in the same order.

Archaeological photogrammetry in Cairo, Athens and Istanbul.

Scott’s reaction to the VR models is inane and it is sad to see that all of the work creating those models and technologies is cut out of the final product. However, the explorations are worthwhile and I like the choice of subjects.
