Reviews of “Animation Runner Kuromi” (2001) and related work

“Animation Runner Kuromi” (2001Moving picture, 40 minutes)

A fresh graduate is suddenly stuck in charge of a catastrophic animation project. Her duties include racing around town to collect key animation frames from quirky, stressed-out underlings.

A comedy. The Japanese cover prominently includes the phrase “Nihon no anime, watashi ga tsukuru!” (“I’m the one who’ll make Japanese animation!”).
