Review of Cronos (1993)

Moving picture, 94 minutes

Seen in 2016.

An antiques dealer stumbles on a biomechanical source of immortality.

Horror. A necessarily awkward combination of Darkman (1990) and Delicatessen (1991): Raimi’s effects-heavy horror and Jeunet et Caro’s warmer quirks. The French use Perlman better, but I like the little girl, quietly accepting the nightmare her life becomes.
