Review of Earth from Space (2019)

Moving picture, 3.0 hours

Seen in 2019.

Partly a documentary on the uses of high-resolution visible-spectrum satellite imagery in biology, conservationism and the earth sciences, partly a nature film where traditional crews visit sites supposedly visible from space.

Slickly produced, with lots of smooth transitions that make “Powers of Ten” (1977) look old. The theme of visibility from space is stretched a bit thin but makes far more sense than Spy in the Wild (2017).
