Review of Eastern Promises (2007)

Moving picture, 100 minutes

David Cronenberg (director).

A London nurse delivers a very young girl’s baby as the girl dies. Soon suspecting what pit of despair the dead mother ran from, the nurse still resolves to find some link to her family in Russia, in order to keep the baby out of a home for orphans.

Crime/horror. Mundane in its premises and by the standards of Cronenberg’s masterpieces.
