Review of Elina: As If I Wasn’t There (2002)
Good cinematography and acting. It must be possible to make a very interesting film around the dual oppression of Swedish minorities and children in authoritarian schooling systems, but this one lays it on far too thick and still pulls out a stupidly happy ending. I think you’d have to make it multi-generational.
