Solidly “non-genre” non-SFF middlebrow contemporary fiction about a perfectly believable event with only minor dramatic and symbolic significance, neither overstated nor understated. Incidentally, this is also one of countless examples of Yamato Transport’s real-world Takkyūbin trademark, established for Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), appearing in unrelated fiction.
