Lots of stuff happening around a mecha epic in a city with a giant iron.
OVA series. Surrealism for fans of animation. Japanese word games, references to the classics, hyperkinetic action, lots of meta, functional symbolism. Fine soundtrack. Get the US DVDs with Tsurumaki’s commentary: you’ll never guess who voice-acts for Miyu Miyu.

“Oh, the Iron!” says one character in episode 4. “Also known as the World Smoother!” I enjoyed the little hit of nostalgia from seeing the surreal design of that iron again, but Progressive adds nothing to the original and is not even a work of surrealism.
