Review of Gitarrmongot (2004)

Moving picture, 89 minutes

Seen in 2023.

The few good moments in this film are the ones that humanize people who are poor, without denying that these particular individuals—as written—are poor because they are genuinely stupid and socially insensitive, in a society that does not reward those traits. Östlund doesn’t go anywhere interesting with this idea.
