Seen in 2016.
Good O’Toole. Predictably unimpressive special effects on cozy faux-medieval sets. The Stonecutters song from The Simpsons (1989) kept running through my head: “Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?” He’s almost good here as the affable American, and the fact that he sticks with Mary after her transformation, no longer obsessed with beauty, is the saving grace of the script.
