Review of His Mother’s Voice (1997)

Moving picture

Seen in 2018.

An interview with a woman whose son was shot, in which she describes the terror of getting conflicting information and finally learning the truth. The interview is heard twice. The first time it’s set to a subjective-camera re-enactment of the fateful night, and the second time it’s set to a brighter re-enactment of the interview as such.

An interesting experiment, but it doesn’t grab me emotionally and there are many minor flaws in execution.
