Review of “History of the Necronomicon” (1927)
H. P. Lovecraft (writer).
Reading leads to terrible consequences.
Funny how the demonologist Abdul Alhazred is described as “an indifferent Moslem”, with no real sign of persecution in Islam. Funny also that Lovecraft, in the last paragraph, states that The King in Yellow (1895)—explicitly the novel as opposed to the intradiegetic play—was based on the Necronomicon.
