The original exploitation films contained what they did because the audience did not acknowledge wanting to go all the way, and the threat of censorship. Here, with greater freedom, the violence explodes into a cartoon while the sex is frozen at the original level. This imbalance shows a conceptual failure, or cowardice, and a continued threat.
