Review of “How a Mosquito Operates” (1912)

Seen in 2017.

Surreal horror comedy. Less impressive on the technical level than “Winsor McCay” (1911). In particular, the repeated frames in short reversals and repetitions—loops—are very prominent. In a modern perspective they just look cheap.
