Review of Kärlekens språk 2000 (2004)

Moving picture, 96 minutes

The underlying mistake here is probably the view, left over from the 1960s, that strictly individual, inexplicable differences aside, all demographics have and should have the same uncomplicated, always compatible attitudes, with the possible exception of children, who are completely excluded. The infotainment combinations of kitschy romantic drama and disinterested elementary-school sex ed content resulting from this view are uneasy at best. This is particularly true because they are delivered alternately as a TV spectacle that’s utter shit, and through the narration of Arne Weise.
