Review of Kirikou and the Sorceress (1998)
Seen in 2024.
A baby delivers himself and begins to uncover the mystery of the sorceress who threatens his village. He keeps asking why the sorceress is so bad, but the adults can’t answer that.
The relatively realistic animation style lends the necessary internal consistency to this traditional East African fairytale.
