Review of Modern Times (1936)

Moving picture, 87 minutes

Chaplin’s Tramp character suffers at an assembly line, accidentally leads a socialist march and goes in and out of jail a couple of times, searching for a decent life with a gamin.

That got quaint after just half a century, but it still reminds of the GYBE line “We are trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death.”
