Review of “Passing Days” (1969)

Moving picture, 10 minutes

Nedeljko Dragić (writer-animator).

Seen in 2020.

Yugoslavian animation’s world of visibility at need for minimal continuity, with perfunctory foley work to match the animation quality. A simple but functional board-driven allegory of a man variously oppressed, ignored and laughed at, implicitly under Tito. Alas, it has no real ending.
