Review of The Dead Don’t Die (2019)

Moving picture, 104 minutes

Polar fracking has sent the Earth wobbling.

Tonally dissonant, lazy metafiction from Jim Jarmusch, who apparently gets by on knowing celebrities who will agree to appear in his films. The gag explanation for zombies is less of an allusion to Night of the Living Dead (1968) and more of Jarmusch’s typical failure to take intererest in his work.
