Review of The Death of Stalin (2017)

Moving picture, 107 minutes

Seen in 2019.

A good concept for a dark comedy, with some entertaining details. Isaacs’s Zhukov is especially funny, and the idiomatic English was clearly the right choice. I also appreciate the effort to bring in a tiny bit of the real horror, but there are too many goofs and conscious errors for this to serve even as a parody of history.
