The Element of Crime (1984Moving picture, 104 minutes)

Like {{review|Blade Runner (1982)}}, but without pace, good ideas or entertainment value, and failing to hide a lack of money as Scott did. Surprisingly for Lars von Trier, no humour either. The first film in a Europe trilogy, varied in style and tone. All three films involve a man entering a new territory with good intentions and screwing up.

Epidemic (1987Moving picture, 106 minutes)

The only interesting moment in this experiment of reflexivity is when they dissect a tube of toothpaste.

Europa (1991Moving picture, 112 minutes)

Similar in sentiment to {{review|No Greater Love (1959)}}.
