Review of The Empire (2024)

Moving picture, 110 minutes

Seen in 2025.

Two hot chicks from good and evil space empires take human form and battle over a prophesied child in an idyllic French village on the northern coast.

Gleefully empty festival-circuit exploitation cinema, corresponding roughly to Megalopolis (2024) but with just enough money to toss a car. The comedy is less effective than Outer Touch (1979), the sex scenes are all in extreme long shot (via drone), and the crappy miniatures have been replaced with charmless CGI.
