Review of “The False Note” (1963)
Seen in 2020.
It feels very much in tune with its time, including the lady at the bar walking over to the jukebox to play some hip tunes instead of paying the organ grinder. The shot of his body striped and blinking in tune with a neon sign is beautiful.
