Review of The Light from the Chocolate Factory (2020)

Moving picture, 65 minutes

Seen in 2025.

The main character may have killed her own mother by negligence and there is a refugee crisis somewhere, but the lives of Norway’s academic elite proceed through a series of leisurely one-on-one conversations about nothing.

A cringe-comedy Norwegian Seinfeld (1989) that never comes to a head. Unwatchably artificial, hence its self-classification as a musical. It’s not musical theatre.
