Review of “The Man on the Threshold” (1952)
Jorge Luis Borges (writer).
Read in Sun Axelson’s Swedish translation.
The most interesting thing about it is the paragraph of prologue referencing (real) Bioy Casares, a trip to London, a mysterious dagger etc. This opening, and the title, would have been an easy fit for M. R. James or H. P. Lovecraft.
