Review of “The Monkey Sword Masamune” (1931)

The monkey’s attack on the hunter’s dog is interestingly animated by Murata. The lack of any follow-up to it appears to indicate the dog was actually killed, motivating the hunter’s rage and breaking the expectation of slapstick violence.
