Review of The Rage of Paris (1938)

Moving picture, 78 minutes

Seen in 2020.

The special-effects-laden credits sequence is lovely in this middling screwball comedy. Subject matter resembling A Woman of Paris: A Drama of Fate (1923) is substantially remoulded for the new genre, but there is still a hint of sincerity in the unscored visit to Jim’s country home.
