Review of The Road to Guantanamo (2006)

Moving picture, 95 minutes

On the Channel 4 programme Lie Lab in 2007, prompted by MRI lie detector readings, Ruhal Ahmed admitted that he had visited an Islamist training camp, where he handled weapons. Extensive dramatization aside, this film makes no secret of being based on initial accounts by the three men. Interestingly, their long stay and poor treatment did not reveal Ahmed’s past.
