So many brilliant ideas. Lovecraft liked Last and First Men: A Story of the Near and Far Future (1930), which may have influenced his vision here. It has Stapledon’s biological mutability and psychic travel across time and space, but in one sense the scale is even greater. The Great Race is not limited to the solar system.
