Review of The Travelling Players (1975)

Review refers to a copy with quite incomplete subtitles.
Some impressive shots wasted on Brecht and the deliberately impenetrable mixing of historical periods and ancient drama. Just two minutes of exposition could have made it very good, but that would obviously go against the foolish intention of the auteur. Useless as a history lesson, but it came in handy against an episode of insomnia.
