Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)

Moving picture, 115 minutes

Seen in 2024.

The first half is written like a parody of Fargo (1996) on The Simpsons (1989). In the second half, a more somber tone alternates with stronger moralism, which I think is not ideal. The ending is good though, and Clarke Peters’s small role fills me with nostalgia for The Wire (2002).
