Review of Tristram Shandy (2005)

Moving picture, 94 minutes

Laurence Sterne hated serious people and, I suppose, serious effort. It shows in this adaptation. This is highlights from the novel, stilted bits of serious-sounding analysis from Naomie Harris’s character, a touch of what modern life and filmmaking is like, and a whole lot of unfunny The Office-style comedy. Pointless.
