Review of Two Women (1960)

Moving picture, 101 minutes

Seen in 2021.

It’s fun to see Loren’s classic star power mixed in with De Sica’s hot Christian sincerity in the year of Breathless (1960), wherein Loren’s co-star from this film—Belmondo—helped slam a deep wedge into the illusionist model of classic cinema, a model that is still in force here.
